In recent years, a spectrum of dark, mid- and light grey colours have grown in popularity, with the same report indicating that around 25 per cent of property owners have chosen these tints for their home, and a growing number of homeowners are opting for black frames which work well with both contemporary and period properties. The study shows that homeowners make greater use of colour when choosing replacement doors and, although white is still a predominant choice representing around 20 per cent of purchases, black (a classic choice, perhaps inspired by the famous front door of 10 Downing Street!), blue, dark grey and green are all hugely popular colours for our home’s entrance.
