Alongside this important accreditation, we are enormously proud to be a founding member of the GGF, which was established in 1977, ten years after our own company was founded by John Parker. Today, West Norfolk Glass is run by his sons, Geoff and Philip Parker, who employ a local team including the company’s own fitters – an important distinction which offers peace-of-mind for customers in the unlikely event of any problem with the installation of their double glazing.
What is the GGF?
The GGF is widely recognised as an influential trade body for the double glazing industry with more than 8,000 members, making up more than 60 per cent of the sector’s £4bn annual turnover, across the UK. The GGF’s subsidiaries include FENSA, BFRC and Installsure. Recognised by government, the GGF works closely to influence legislation relating to glazing and will undoubtedly have a positive impact on how the UK will work towards reaching its net zero goals for 2050.
The GGF provides expert and technical advice, training and health and safety support to GGF members and demonstrates a glazing company’s commitment to providing quality products and great service, while promoting best practice in the industry and for its customers.
How does the GGF help homeowners?
Launched by the GGF in 2015, MyGlazing is a consumer site dedicated to helping homeowners with valuable insights into choosing windows, doors, glazing and glass with its home improvement guides.
Within a year, MyGlazing.com (LINK) was regularly attracting more than 5,000 consumer each day and provides inspiration and advice on making a sustainable choice for their home glazing through its knowledge hub and environmental hub.
West Norfolk Glass appears on the MyGlazing website under the ‘Find an installer’ tab providing high quality double glazing for homeowners in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
